Notocyrtus costai Gil-Santana & Forero, 2009 View in CoL

( Figs. 29–33 View FIGURES 27–34 )

Notocyrtus costai View in CoL was described based on a single female from Suriname, currently deposited in MZUSP ( Figs. 29–31 View FIGURES 27–34 ). The female examined here ( Fig. 32–33 View FIGURES 27–34 ) seems very similar to the holotype, although some small differences in color are recorded: in the postocular portion of the head the large transverse blackish marking is continuous in the specimen from French Guiana ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 27–34 ) and it is interrupted at middle in the female holotype, forming a pair of “large spots in dorsal portion of postocular area” ( Gil-Santana & Forero 2009); in the pronotum, the transverse yellow stripe (Gil-Santana & Forero’s “transverse fascia”), between anterior and posterior lobes is somewhat narrower ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 27–34 ), and the hind margin of third lobe completely blackish ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 27–34 ) (pale yellow in the holotype, Figs. 29–30 View FIGURES 27–34 ). Additionally, Gil-Santana & Forero (2009) recorded the total length of the female holotype 11.0 / 13.0 mm, while the female from French Guiana measured 9.5 / 12.5 mm to the tip of abdomen and hemelytra, respectively.
