Delectopecten Stewart, 1930: 118 View in CoL (proposed as a subgenus of Palliolum View in CoL ). Type species (by original designation): Pecten View in CoL (Pseudamusium [sic]) vancouverensis Whiteaves, 1893; living, Forward Inlet, Quatsino Sound, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, 18– 37 m.
Diagnosis. Inequivalve, small, fragile, almost circular camptonectinines, valves almost equal convex, sculptured with commarginal rows of scales or vesicles, spinose radial ridges and/or fine antimarginal striae; byssal notch welldeveloped; ctenolium prominent.
Distribution. Lower Cretaceous–Recent (Waller & Marincovich, 1992: 219). Cosmopolitan, 27–4256 m (Clarke, 1962: 60).
Remarks. Grau (1959: 38) considered Delectopecten to be a subgenus of Cyclopecten Verrill, 1897 , and placed Arctinula Thiele, 1934 and Catillopecten Iredale, 1939 in its synonymy. The morphological characters of Arctinula, however,
