Distribution. China (Beijing, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hunan, Jilin, Shaanxi), Japan, Korea, Russia.

Diagnosis. Wing expanse 13.0–17.0 mm. This species is similar to E. sanguisorbana on the basis of the forewing having a dark brown median fascia and dark brown termen and cilia. It can be distinguished from the latter by the forewing narrower ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 d); the male genitalia with the median process of the transtilla columniform, the aedeagus without an apical projection, and the distal cornuti of the aedeagus arranged capitately ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 a); and in the female genitalia with the ductus bursae longer than the corpus bursae ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 c). E. sanguisorbana the forewing is broader ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 g); the median process of the transtilla is scalariform, the aedeagus bears an apical projection, and the distal cornuti of the aedeagus are arranged linearly ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 d); and the ductus bursae is nearly as long as the corpus bursae ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 f).
