( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 d, 3a, 4c)
Eupoecilia citrinana Razowski, 1960: 401 View in CoL ; Razowski, 1970a: 281; Kawabe, 1982, 1: 156; Byun et al., 1998: 83; Kuznetsov, 2001: 93; Liu & Li, 2002: 56. TL: China (Kirin Province, Manchuria, Hsiaoling).
Euxanthis patriciana Caradja, 1916: 55 View in CoL . [nomen nudum; attributed to Walsingham]
Material examined. CHINA: Hebei Province: 1 ɗ, Weixian, 1200 m, 26.vii.2000 (Yanli Du & Zhendong Li); 1 ɗ, Mt. Wuling, Xinglong, 1800 m, 1.viii.2000 (Yanli Du & Zhendong Li); 3 ɗɗ, Weixian, 800 m, 20.viii.2005 (Yunli Xiao). Jilin Province: 1 ɗ, Erdao, 760 m, 1.viii.2004 (Aihuan Zhang). Henan Province: 1 Ψ, Mt. Baiyun, Songxian, 1580 m, 19.vii.2002 (Xinpu Wang). Shaanxi Province: 1 Ψ, Yangling, 450 m, 9.viii.1986 (Houhun Li). Heilongjiang Province: 27 ɗɗ, Heihe, 120–500 m, 25–28.vii.1997 (Houhun Li); 1 Ψ, Mt. Xiaogu, Wudalianchi, 270 m, 30.vii.1997 (Houhun Li).
Distribution. China (Beijing, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hunan, Jilin, Shaanxi), Japan, Korea, Russia.
Diagnosis. Wing expanse 13.0–17.0 mm. This species is similar to E. sanguisorbana on the basis of the forewing having a dark brown median fascia and dark brown termen and cilia. It can be distinguished from the latter by the forewing narrower ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 d); the male genitalia with the median process of the transtilla columniform, the aedeagus without an apical projection, and the distal cornuti of the aedeagus arranged capitately ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 a); and in the female genitalia with the ductus bursae longer than the corpus bursae ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 c). E. sanguisorbana the forewing is broader ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 g); the median process of the transtilla is scalariform, the aedeagus bears an apical projection, and the distal cornuti of the aedeagus are arranged linearly ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 d); and the ductus bursae is nearly as long as the corpus bursae ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 f).
