Distribution. Holarctic; probably cosmopolitan.

Remarks. Previous records from Iran: Markazi (Saveh, associated with pomegranate trees, Sorush 1994); Tehran, Kermanshah, Yazd (in all locations collected from waste in beehives foam, Bahreini et al. 1997); Kurdistan (associated with strawberry cultivations, Mansour Ghazi et al. 2006); Tehran (Malard research station, Mirjamali et al. 2008); East Azerbaijan (Sufiyan, the soil of alfalfa cultivations, Lotfollahi & Haddad Irani-Nejad 2010).
