Holotype: ZMB 44290 , female, skull, skin; Santa Barbara , Paraguay; collected by F. Schade, May 1931, donated by O. Neumann.

Paratypes: ZMB 24322 , female, skull, skin; Paraguay, collector, and date unknown, ex Zoologischer Garten Berlin; ZMB 16405 , male, skull, skin; Paraguay, collector and date unknown, ex Zoologischer Garten Berlin; ZMB 35758 , skull, skin; Santa Barbara, Paraguay; collected by Delgo, 1936.

Comment: Botho von Pusch (1942, p. 207) erroneously listed O. Neumann as collector. However, Oscar Neumann was never in Paraguay, the correct collector was F. Schade.
