FEMALE. (Specimens measured. South Africa: holotype and 9 paratypes) Dorsum. Dorsal shield 335(318–347) [341] long and 188(178–196) [188] wide, reticulate. Setae j1 22(20–24) [24], j3 23(21–24) [24], j4 18(16–20) [17], j5 18(17–19) [18], j6 24(23–26) [25], J2 31(30–32) [31], J5 14(12–17) [15], z2 19(18–21) [20], z3 26 (24–28) [27], z4 26(24–31) [25], z5 21(18–23) [20], z6 24(21–25) [24], Z4 39(37–44) [44], Z5 39(36–44) [44], s4 29 (28–31) [28], s6 34 (32–40) [40], S2 37 (35–40) [40], S4 39 (36–41) [40], S5 35 (31–37) [35], r3 25(23–27) [25], R1 26(24–29) [29]. Setae slender, setiform, sharp-tipped, except J5 and Z5, serrate; seta R1 inserted on membrane.
Venter. Sternal shield smooth, with 2 pairs of setae (ST3 inserted on membrane); posterior margin very lightly sclerotized, with a median lobe; distances between ST1-ST3 62(59–64) [60], ST2-ST2 47(45–49) [49]. Genital shield smooth; distance between ST5-ST5 55(52–58) [58]. Ventrianal shield smooth, pentagonal, slightly constricted laterally, anterior margin straight, 106(100–112) [106] long, 62(55–67) [62] wide at level of ZV2, 64(58–67) [64] wide at level of anus; setae JV2 and JV3 present; round preanal pores posteromesad to JV2. Caudoventral setae smooth and sharp-tipped.
Chelicera. Movable digit 21(21–22) [21] long with 1–2 teeth; fixed digit 20(18–21) long with 3 teeth and a pilus dentilis.
Spermatheca. Calyx funnel-shaped, 20(18–22) [19] long, atrium kidney-shaped.
Legs. Macrosetae sharp-tipped, only slightly longer than other setae on the same segment: Sbt IV 16 (15– 17) [17], Stt IV 21 (19–22) [22]. Chaetotaxy: genu II: 2-2/0, 2/0-1; genu III: 1-2/1, 2/0-1.
Specimens examined. South Africa: Holotype female and 3 paratype females from Acacia giraffae , farm Abtonia 5km from Kuruman to Danielskuil, Northern Cape Province, 4-X-1979, E.A. Ueckermann; one paratype female from Acacia robusta, Kuruman , Northern Cape Province, 7-II-1979, E.A. Ueckermann; 2 paratype females from Acacia mellifera , 20 km from Van Zylsrus to Botswana border, Northern Cape Province, 3-X-1979, E.A. Ueckermann; 2 paratype females from A. giraffae, Shisen , Northern Cape Province, 5- X-1979, E.A. Ueckermann; one paratype female from A. giraffae, Barkly West, Northern Cape Province, 30- XI-1965, M.K.P. Smith Meyer; one paratype female from A. giraffae, Moorddrift near Mokopane, Limpopo Province, 5-V-1981, E.A. Ueckermann; all deposited at NCA-PPRI.
