TYPE LOCALITY: Angola: Mossamedes district, "Damara-land" (see Hill and Carter, 1941) .
DISTRIBUTION: Angola ( Hayman, 1963b; Hill and Carter, 1941), Zambia ( Ansell, 1978), Malawi ( Ansell and Dowsett, 1988; Ansell, 1989b), and Zimbabwe.
SYNONYMS: ansorgei, johnstoni , nanus (see Allen, 1939, for citations).
