TYPE MATERIAL — Holotype, ♂, Papua New Guinea. New Guinea: SE Mt. Bosavi, 1800m 7-10.VI.1973, Gaya coll. ( BPBM).

DESCRIPTION — MALE: Body length 2.6 mm. Head, mesosoma and metasoma dark castaneous. Head (Figure 87). Mandible with three apical teeth. Clypeus with median lobe ill-defined; median tooth angled; median carina distinctly incomplete apically and angled in profile. Frons weakly coriaceous. Mesosoma. Pronotal disc with anterior margin carinate, weakly coriaceous. Metapectal-propodeal complex with lateral and posterior areas ecarinate. Metasoma (Figure 181). Tergal process absent. Hypopygium (Figure 272) with median stalk evenly narrow, 0.66 x as long as hypopygial plate; lateral stalk quadrate; posterior margin straight with median concavity. Genitalia (Figures 536-537). Aedeagal dorsal body with apex lower than parameral apex, wider medially, narrowing progressively apicad; apex with triangular and angled projections on ventral region. Aedeagal ventral ramus with apex lower than aedeagal dorsal body apex, very slightly bifurcated on apical region; apical region with digitiform projections. Cuspis large. Genital ring slightly produced, each half straight in dorsal view.

FEMALE: Unknown.

ETYMOLOGY — The noun in apposition tudak means dark (color) in Tok Pisin.
