TYPE MATERIAL — Holotype, ♂, Indonesia. New Guinea, Neth , Vogelkop, Bomberi, 700-900m, VI-3-‘59, J. L. Gressitt Collector, Bishop Museum ( BPBM).
DESCRIPTION — MALE: Body length 3.7 mm. Head and mesosoma black; metasoma dark castaneous. Head (Figure 86). Mandible with four apical teeth. Clypeus with median lobe subtrapezoidal; median tooth subangulate; median carina complete apically and straight in profile. Frons strongly coriaceous. Mesosoma. Pronotal disc with anterior margin carinate, strongly coriaceous. Metapectal-propodeal complex with lateral and posterior areas carinate. Metasoma (Figure 180). Tergal process without depressions, with thin, small and long setae; very small tubercle, conical in longitu-
dinal section, very low, entirely dorsad, with small pit on top, with very small few setae dorsad. Hypopygium (Figure 271) with median stalk evenly narrow, 1.35 x as long as hypopygial plate; lateral stalk triangular; posterior margin strongly concave. Genitalia (Figures 534-535). Aedeagal dorsal body with apex lower than parameral apex, evenly narrow, narrowing abruptly apicad; apical lobe small. Aedeagal ventral ramus with apex as high as aedeagal dorsal body apex, very slightly bifurcated on apical region; apical region rounded, narrow and smooth. Genital ring strongly produced, each half straight in dorsal view.

ETYMOLOGY — The noun in apposition toktok means conversation in Tok Pisin.
