Diagnosis. Atopotrophos can be readily distinguished from other oedemopsines by the following combination of features: 1) mandible wider at apex with ventral tooth twisted anteriorly so that the dorsal tooth is hidden when the mandible is closed ( Figs 3A View FIGURE 3 , 5A View FIGURE 5 , 7A View FIGURE 7 ); 2), oral fossa separated from the foramen magnum by a postgenal bridge; 3) Fore wing vein 3rs-m absent ( Figs 3L View FIGURE 3 , 7I View FIGURE 7 ); 4) T1 cylindrical and lacking glymma ( Figs 3J–K View FIGURE 3 , 4 View FIGURE 4 , 7H View FIGURE 7 ).
