Carineta producta Walker, 1858b View in CoL
Carineta producta Walker 1858b: 24 View in CoL . ( Colombia)
REMARKS. This is second of two species that have spots of infuscation in the distal fore wings, radiating infuscation in the fore wing marginal area and infuscated marginal area of the hind wings. It can be distinguished from C. detoulgoueti by the lack of bronzing of the basal area of the fore wing, the spots of infuscation in the distal fore wing are on the distal marginal veins rather than within the apical cells and there is infuscation on the fore wing cross veins in C. producta .
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru ( Metcalf 1963c; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013). The species has been recorded from Curoïco in Bolivia ( Jacobi 1907).
