scientific name

Thraulodes alboniger
status

Group alboniger

Definition. Larva of the single species placed here, differs from all other Thraulodes by wider anterior transverse setal row on labrum ( Fig. 563 View FIGURES 563–568 ) and opposite bent of tergalii ( Figs 585–588 View FIGURES 578–588 ). Imago differs from all other Thraulodes by very compact black preapical band on hind femur ( Figs 574, 575 View FIGURES 569–577 ).

Composition. One species, Th. alboniger sp. n. is described here. Variability of imaginal coloration ( Figs 574, 575 View FIGURES 569–577 ) allows to assume that the type series consists of more than one species. To verify this, it is necessary to rear from larvae imagines of the light form ( Figs 571, 573, 574 View FIGURES 569–577 ).
