Ectomocoris vicinus Villiers, 1964 View in CoL
Original data: “ Parc National de la Garamba: n° 2558 (holotype ♂) et 1564 (allotype ♀); paratypes ” ( Villiers 1964a: 104) .
Types: Paratype 1 ♀: “ ALLOTYPE ” // “ Congo Belge, P. N. G. Miss. H. De Saeger II/fd/6, 11-x-1951 Réc. H. De Saeger. 2590” .
Paratype 1 ♀: “ PARATYPE ” // locality label as above ( Fig. 21 View FIGURE 21 ).
Paratypes 5 ♀♀: same label information as above.
Type locality: Parc National de la Garamba [Garamba National Park, DR Congo].
Current status: Valid species.
Remarks: MNHN houses seven female paratypes of the species. Among them, a female specimen bearing “n° 2590” and a label “ ALLOTYPE ” is merely a paratype, since its number does not match with that of the allotype (n° 1564). The holotype (a male), the allotype (a female), and two additional paratypes are preserved in RMCA. During the visit of the first author (YL) in this institution, she could not examine these type specimens, all were on loan.
