This species, containing three subspecies, has been cited from Canada, USA, Mexico (Colima, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Veracruz), Guatemala, and Nicaragua ( Martins and Pereira 1965). The following specimen represents a new state record from Nuevo León: “ MEXICO: Nuevo León, Monterrey, Monterrey, V-1966, A. García Aldrete col.” (1♂, IEXA) .
