Porphyrophora violaceae Matesova & Jashenko, 1988: 755 View in CoL . Type data: KAZAKHSTAN: South Kazakhstan, Chikment Oblast, near Kelintube sand dunes, on Lappula semiglabra View in CoL . Holotype, female and first instar, Type depository: Zoological Museum, Academy of Sciences , St. Petersburg , Russia.
Host plants: Lappula semiglabra (Ledeb.) Gürke ( Boraginaceae ).
Distribution: China (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region); Kazakhstan.
Remarks: Jashenko & Rochshektayeva (2014) reported P. violaceae Matesova & Jashenko from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Jashenko (1990) provided a description and illustration of the adult female and male, and the first-instar nymph; Vahedi & Hodgson (2007) described the adult female. Specimens of P. violaceae have not been seen in this study.
