Simulium (Simulium) jasmoni Takaoka, Sofian-Azirun & Belabut, 2012b: 404 View in CoL –408 (Female, male, pupa and larva).
This species was described from females, males, pupae and larvae collected from Tioman Island ( Takaoka et al., 2012b). It is characterized in the female by the claw with a minute subbasal projection, and in the pupa by the gill filaments divergent at an angle of 90 degrees or slightly more.
The pupae and larvae were collected from a small lowland stream (width 0.2–0.3 m, water temperature 25̊C, shaded) slowly flowing in a forest, Tioman Island.
