[ Momeni Shahraki et al. (2019) incorrectly referred to this species as “ Chaitophorus nigra (Oestlund, 1886) ” in their checklist, when the valid name is “ C. nigrae ”. Additionally, they cited Hodjat (1984) as the source for the first report of this species in Iran, but no such species is mentioned in that reference. Instead, it refers to “ C. niger Mordvillko ”, now recognized as “ Chaitophorus salijaponicus niger Mordvillko, 1929 ”. Hence, the presence of Chaitophorus nigrae Oestlund, 1886 in Iran is likely incorrect.]
