Isometopus amurensis Kerzhner, 1988: 789 View in CoL (male as holotype) DIAGNOSIS. Female: anterior part of head with distinct dark punctation ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 a-b). Head yellowish brown; clypeus and genae dark brown; pronotum dark brown with somewhat pale lateral margins and pale posterior corners ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 a). Scutellum dark brown with pale apex. Hemelytra yellowish brown, with a spot at base of clavus and at base of endocorium, broad band at posterior margin of corium with dark brown membrane ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 c). Antennae yellowish brown; apex of 1st antennal segment yellowish brown. Femora dark brown in the middle. Genitalia ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 d): bursa copulatrix with distinct a pair of sclerotized rings; posterior wall extremely transparent, only with membranous plate and lacking spicules. Male: see Kerzhner (1988).
DIMENSIONS (IN MM): Female: body length 2.23; head width 0.78; vertex width 0.15; head height 0.52; rostal length 0.84; mesal pronotal length 0.38; basal pronotal width 0.95; width across hemelytra 1.23.
DISTRIBUTION: Russia (Far East) and Korea (middle part; new record).
MATERIAL EXAMINED: 1 female, 22.vii.2007, on Taxus cuspidata S. et Z. ( Taxaceae ), Hongcheon-eup, Hongcheongun, Gangwon-do, South Korea, leg. J. Seong.
DISCUSSION AND BIOLOGICAL NOTES. A single specimen of the species was collected on the bark of a live tree, Taxus cuspidata (Taxaceae) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 a) with unidentified coccids. Therefore, we assumed this species fed on those coccids. The single specimen quickly responded to the presence of the collector by jumping along the trunk and branches of the tree rather than walking.
