Distribution: It is found in Terai, at the foot of the Himalayas from Kumaun Sikkim; Eastern Bengal, Central Provinces, Kanara, Ceylon, Burma, extending to the Malaya sub region ( Bingham, 1907).

Host plant: Acanthaceae (Saji et al., 2017) .
