Stegana (Steganina) menghai Zhang & Chen View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Figs. 11E, 11F View FIGURE 11 , 50 View FIGURE 50 )

Diagnosis. This species slightly resembles S. (S.) nigridentata sp. nov. in the shape of epandrium, surstylus, cercus ( Figs. 50A View FIGURE 50 , 55A View FIGURE 55 ), and subepandrial sclerite ( Figs. 50F View FIGURE 50 , 55F View FIGURE 55 ), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the small pregonite with 4 sensilla ( Fig. 50B, C View FIGURE 50 ); the aedeagus with numerous minute, serrated processes distally ( Fig. 50B, C View FIGURE 50 ); the aedeagal sheath distally cambered, not strongly expanded ( Fig. 50D, E View FIGURE 50 ).

Description. Male and female: First flagellomere black. Clypeus yellow. Mesonotum broadly dark brown medially, brown laterally ( Fig. 11E View FIGURE 11 ). Katepisternum mostly yellowish, brownish on anterior corner ( Fig. 11F View FIGURE 11 ). Scutellum dark brown, yellow at tip ( Fig. 11E View FIGURE 11 ). Halter mostly grey ( Fig. 11F View FIGURE 11 ). Fore femur with a row of 3 long setae on distal part of posteroventral surface. Abdominal tergites black ( Fig. 11E, F View FIGURE 11 ); sternites brown, about 2 times as wide as long. Male terminalia ( Fig. 50 View FIGURE 50 ): Epandrium with ca. 14 setae on dorsal to posterior portions per side ( Fig. 50A View FIGURE 50 ). Surstylus with 1 peg-like tooth, several setulae, and some pubescence near distal margin ( Fig. 50A View FIGURE 50 ). Cercus with much pubescence ( Fig. 50A View FIGURE 50 ). Hypandrium roundly expanded anteromedially ( Fig. 50B, C View FIGURE 50 ). Aedeagus roundly expanded distally, lacking pubescence ( Fig. 50B, C View FIGURE 50 ). Aedeagal sheath with numerous minute, serrated processes distally ( Fig. 50D, E View FIGURE 50 ). Subepandrial sclerite vaulted, roundly expanded dorsally ( Fig. 50F View FIGURE 50 ).
