Atherigona longifolia van Emden, 1940: 130 , figs 25, 32; Deeming 1971: 171, figs 111–113. Diagnosis: This species can be distinguised from others with an infuscated frontal vitta by its yellow palpi, the fore femur being infuscated on apical half to third and the hypopygial prominence being small and subtruncate, the margins appearing almost angular when viewed dorsally. The median piece of the trifoliate process is also entirely filiform in posterior view and “boomerang” shaped in profile.
