Specimens examined: Sud Mennucci ( 20 ° 39 ' S, 50 ° 54 ' W), October 2007, on M. minutiflora ( 3 Ƥ).

Remarks: This species was previously known from Australia, Philippines and Hawaii. Measurements of the specimens collected are close to those of the original description. This species was originally described from a grass. This is the first record of this species in the American continent.
