( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 )

Eurypogon jaechi Kundrata, Bocakova & Bocak, 2013: 207 .

Type locality. China, Yunnan Province, 35 km N of Lijiang, Heishui village   GoogleMaps , ca. 27°13′N, 100°19′E.

Type material. Holotype female ( NHMW), labeled: “ China Yunnan, 1.–19.VII., HEISHUI, 35 km N Lijiang , 27°13’N 100°19’E, E. Jendek leg. 1992”. GoogleMaps

Diagnosis. This species can be recognized based on the following combination of characters: head and pronotum ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ) blackish, elytra dull metallic green or blue, pronotum with slightly concave sides and less prominent posterior angles, and punctures on head and pronotum large and dense ( Kundrata et al. 2013; Yoshitomi 2018).

Sexual dimorphism and variability. Females are distinctly more robust than males, with antennae and elytra relatively shorter. Both males and females have elytral coloration from dull metallic green ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ) to metallic blue, and especially males can differ in the body proportions, being either distinctly narrow or wider, with the ratio of the combined length of pronotum + elytra to the maximal elytral width varying between 2.35 and 2.82. For more details, see Yoshitomi (2018).

Distribution. This species is so far known only from several mountainous localities in northern Yunnan, China ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 ).
