Campylodiscus decorus Brébisson (1854: 251) ( Fig. 106 View FIGURES 103–110 )
References: Desikachary 1988, pl. 482, figs 6, 12; Witkowski et al. 2000, p. 412, pl. 214, fig. 15.
Features: Diameter 90–120 μm, costae 2–3 in 10 μm.
Description: Valves nearly circular slightly bent. Costae covers most of valve face leaving a narrow axial area which reach valve margins. Valve face with short spines.
Remarks: Characterized by long uninterrupted costae extending from valve margin to the axial area, which is linear and narrow, with short spines in between. Based on molecular analysis, this species has been transferred to the genus Coronia Ehrenberg (1840: 59) to become Coronia decora (Brébisson) Ruck & Guiry (2016: 2) .
Ecology and Distribution: A wide spread marine species. Not reported previously from the Gulf. Frequent in Basra corals.
