Features: Length 20–36 μm, width 12–20 μm, striae 14–15 in 10 μm.

Description: Valves broadly elliptical with rounded apices. Raphe fissures almost straight with transapical dilated central area connected with the narrow hyaline lateral sterna. Transapical striae parallel at the center and radiate near the apices.

Ecology and Distribution: A marine species most commonly found in warm waters. Previously reported from the Gulf (Al-Yamani & Saburova 2011). Frequent in Basra corals.
