Type:—New Guinea, Papua Province, 4 km southwest of Bernhard Camp, Idenburg River, 850 m., March 1939, L. J. Brass 13421 (holotype A [ A 00035053] [digital photo!]).
Etymology:—Named after L. M. Perry, a Canadian - American botanist for her outstanding contributions to the flora of East and Southeast Asia, especially, the Flora of New Guinea.
Distribution:— Mossy rocky beds of small streams in Papua New Guinea.
