Sesleria comosa var. weberi Deyl (1946: 134) View in CoL
Neotype (designated here):— MACEDONIA. Perister , Niže polje, ad lacum maiorem, solo granitico, 2000–2400 m, 6 July 1937, I. Klášterský s.n. ( PR 836340 !). Figure 4 View FIGURE 4 .
Note:— In the protologue Deyl explicitly cited the material collected by F. Weber near Niže Polje ( Deyl 1946: 134). After detailed investigation of the herbarium material in PR, where most of Weber’s material is deposited, as well as other herbaria listed in the “Material and methods”, no such material has been traced. Many specimens collected by Weber and deposited in PR are without labels and their origins could not be determined. We found a specimen collected at almost the same locality as the one stated in the protologue (Niže polje, “ad lacum maiorem”) by Ivan Klášterský. Deyl’s undated annotation label on this specimen lists only the name Sesleria korabensis . This specimen was seen by Deyl before he described the variety in his monograph ; however, it is not cited in the protologue and we cannot prove if the description was based on this gathering (it does not belong to the original material according to Art. 9.3), thus we designate it as neotype.
