Sesleria comosa Velenovský (1886: 44) View in CoL
Lectotype (designated here):— BULGARIA. Sofia province: Na lukách na Vitoši , August 1885, J. Velenovský s.n (PRC no. 768, barcode 451933!). Figure 3 View FIGURE 3 .
Other original material examined:— BULGARIA. Am höchsten Vitoš [at the highest of Vitoša], August 1885, J. Velenovský s.n. ( BP 757780!).
Note:— We found two herbarium specimens belonging to the original material, which can be regarded as syntypes. Both were collected in August 1885 by Velenovský on Mountain Vitoša, but probably not at the same place. The plants on these herbarium sheets feature well developed diagnostic characters of the species, i.e. very long, pilose and undulating awns of lemmas and paleas. We designate the specimen from PRC as lectotype, since Charles University, where PRC is located, was the home institution of Velenovský where his most important material is deposited.
