Etymology. The species is named after Andreas Weigel in recognition of her efforts to collect material for others.

Type locality. China: Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, 23 km NW Jinghong, vic. Na Ban [22°09’ N 100°40’ E] GoogleMaps .

Distribution. China: Yunnan.

Description. ( Figure 3i,j View FIGURE 3 ). Female unknown. Body length. ♂: 2.53± 0.04 mm (n=2). Entirely black, elongated, covered with thin blond pubescence.

Head. Small, weakly transverse, slightly wider than pronotum. Palpi dark brown, last article securiform. Punctation coarse, dense. Posterior margin lined with a fringe of dense white pubescence.

Antennae. Subfiliform, slightly longer than elytra, black. Antennomere 3–8 more than twice as long as wide. Covered with hirsute white pubescence.

Pronotum ( Figure 6d View FIGURE 6 ). Subcylindrical, convex, longer than wide, sides weakly but regularly convex. Strongly and densely punctuated, points deep.

Elytra. Length: ♂: 1.75±0.00 mm (n=2). Punctation stronger than on pronotum, dense, points deep, well defined. Covered with double pubescence: moderately long hair borne from punctation and interspersed whitish pulverulent hairs ( Figure 5i View FIGURE 5 ). Moderately convex, depressed on disc.

Legs. Long and thin, black, except last two tarsomeres, yellow. Sexual characters. Male foretibia weakly bent inward, with a small acute tooth on their inner side ( Figure 5t View FIGURE 5 ).

Aedeagus ( Figure 4r View FIGURE 4 ). Simple, sturdy, sides parallel in dorsal view, progressively tapered in a regular triangle in apical fourth. Hardly bent in lateral view, with a weak apical upward deflection.
