Anaphothrips View in CoL is the largest genus in the Anaphothrips View in CoL genus-group, and comprises 86 extant species worldwide (ThripsWiki 2021), with about half endemic to the Australian continent ( Mound and Masumoto 2009). Members of this genus are generally associated with Poaceae View in CoL , including agricultural crops of this family, but also occur on a wide range of other shrubs and herbs ( Mound and Masumoto 2009).
