( Figures 3 View Figures 1–6 , 23, 28 View Figures 22–31 )
Ascirtothrips arya zur Strassen, 1975, p. 260
Previously known only from Iran, this species is here recorded from Saudi Arabia. It is very similar to E. taghizadehi (zur Strassen) from which it can be distinguished by the straight paired processes on tergite IX ( Figure 23 View Figures 22–31 ) (in contrast to paired processes recurved at apex) and the wider pore plates on sternites IV–VII ( Figure 28 View Figures 22–31 ) (in contrast to less wide pore plates) ( Minaei 2012).
