Allactodipus Kolesnikov, 1937 . Bull. Sredne-Az. Gos. Univ., 22(29):255.
TYPE SPECIES: Allactodipus bobrinskii Kolesnikov, 1937 .
COMMENTS: Reviewed by Shenbrot (1974, 1984), who showed that in postcranial and dental characters, particularly the height of the molars and alveolar pattern, A. bobrinskii falls outside the range of variation of the genus Allactaga . He restored bobrinskii to its original genus, Allactodipus , a hypothesis followed by Pavlinov and Rossolimo (1987). A critical phylogenetic study incorporating these and other morphological and/or molecular differences between A. bobrinskii and other allactagines and dipodines is needed.
