Genus Australiobates Lundblad, 1941
The genus has a Gondwanan distribution, with numerous species known from Australasia, South America and South Africa. The majority, however, are known from Australia, where
19 species are known, six of these have been reported from Western Australia ( Harvey 1998a ;
Smit 2001).
