Dampfomyia permira View in CoL has been recorded from Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. In Mexico, this species was known only from the type locality in Chiapas, but we found some specimens in the state of Veracruz, as mentioned below.
Material examined. Mexico: Veracruz, Municipality of Paso de Ovejas (labeled as Tezonapa), El Palmar, 23- 24-06 /2009, dry tropical forest, huleras, UV-CDC trap, Brigada Entomológica VI, col. 9 females.
