In addition to the previous record by Vargas and Díaz-Nájera (1951), Ibáñez-Bernal (2001) examined some specimens obtained from the walls of the cave Cueva del Brujo, near Laguna Encantada in the Municipality of San Andrés Tuxtla, from Playa Escondida (Municipality of Catemaco) ( Godinez-Alvarez and Ibáñez-Bernal 2010), and from El Zapotal (Municipality of Minatitlán). We did not find additional specimens in the collections taken during the current study.
