Range: —Endemic to Bolivia (CO, LP).

Ecology:— Uncommon (known from five collections); edges of humid forests, roadsides; 2950–3250 m.

Notes: —Unique in genus in having only glands on the axes and blades and lacking hairs. In general aspect, it is most similar to E. × flabellatus and E. hirtus , both of which are hairy.
