Range: — Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, and Bolivia (CO, LP).

Ecology: —Rare (known from three collections); in montane forests; 1100–1650 m.

Notes: —Blades with sparse whitish hairs or glabrate; apical pinna with conspicuous long-decurrent base onto the rachis; apices of segments varying from obtuse to acute; awns absent on costae adaxially. Pteris decurrens C.Presl , endemic to Brazil, is similar in having the apical pinna with a long-decurrent base onto the rachis.
