Type locality. New South Wales, Australia.

Notes: Raffray (1900) described this species from a male and female and we designate the male specimen in the MNHN that was labeled as ‘type’ as the lectotype.

Type material examined: Anabaxis quinquefoveolata . Lectotype (here designated) ( MNHN): ‘ MUSEUM PARIS 1917 COLL. A. RAFFRAY [rectangular label with powder black border] // Type [red rectangular label] // R. quinquefoveolata [hand], A. Raffray det. [printed] // Australia [hand]’.
