Diagnosis (modified after Myers & Lowry [2003]). Caprelloideans having rectangular head with anteroventral margin moderately recessed; pereonite 1 not fused to head; antenna 2 with five or more articles; pereopods 3 and 4 with seven articles, with basis not glandular; pereopod 7 attached ventrally to pereonite 7.
