Syntypes (2):BMNH1947.3.6.2(formerly1857.10.24.72) and 1947.3.6.3 (formerly 1857.10.24.73)( Cogger et al. 1983:62; both types photographed in Goode 1967:56, Cann 1998:183, and Cann & Sadlier 2017:124). BMNH 1947.3.6.3 designated as lectotype by Wells & Wellington (1985:12); however, Thomson et al. (2015:62) subsequently mistakenly designated BMNH 1947.3.6.2 as lectotype.
