Distribution: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Sikkim, and West Bengal. Elsewhere: Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Remarks: The most common species of the genus, widely and abundantly occurring throughout the country, including the Andaman Islands, except the dry northwestern parts of India. It is commonly known as garden snails of India.
