Tegotettix novaeguineae View in CoL species group
Diagnosis. Fastigial horns low. Lateral ocelli placed in the lower fourth of the compound eye height. In frontal view, frontal costa long and distinct, as long as half of the compound eye height. Facial carinae after bifurcation straight, almost parallel. Shoulders of the pronotum robust, however, not as those in the T. armatus species group. Prozona developed. Pronotal discus and median carinae with projections. Femora strongly undulated. Chitinous surfaces finely granulated.
Composition and distribution. For now, this species group includes only Tegotettix novaeguineae Günther, 1938 (New Guinea) ( Figure 4 View FIGURE 4 ), but we know of at least one new species that awaits description.
