Description of Bosea eneae WM 92

Cells are Gram­staining­negative, flagellated and rod­shaped. Colonies grown on R2A agar medium are circular, smooth, drop­like and white colored after 3 days of incubation at 25°C. Negative for glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, β ­galactosidase, indole production and gelatinase but positive for nitrate reduction and urease in API 20NE. D­glucose, L­arabinose, D­mannose, adipic acid and malic acid are utilized. Does not utilize D­mannitol, N ­acetyl­glucosamine, Dmaltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain WM92 (= NIBRBA 0000115022) has been isolated from fresh water, Changnyeong, Korea.
