The genus currently includes 16 species, 14 of which were described from Brazil ( Bispo & Lecci 2011; Avelino- Capistrano & Nessimian 2013). A new species is described here. Previously, only nymphs were known from BA ( Silva & Hamada 2007). Recently, adults were collected in the Serra Bonita Reserve, T. tessellata View in CoL and a new species described below. The genus occurs in northeastern Brazil, the mountainous areas of Central, southeastern and southern Brazil, northeastern Argentina (Misiones), Uruguay, and Paraguay ( Bispo & Lecci 2011).
