The Gripopterygidae View in CoL , a family of Antarctoperlaria, includes approximately 300 described species distributed in the Neotropical and Australian regions ( Fochetti & Tierno de Figueroa 2008). In Neotropical Region, 28 genera and 85 species are known ( Froehlich 2010a). Three genera, Gripopteryx View in CoL , Paragripopteryx View in CoL , Tupiperla View in CoL and six species are recorded from the Serra Bonita region.
