Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on description by Serejo (1998).
Diagnosis. Maxilla 1 palp constricted. Gnathopod 1 propodus palm strongly serrate. Gnathopod 2 basis with well-developed anterodistal lobe; propodus posterior margin subquadrate; dactylus short.
Female (sexually dimorphic characters). Gnathopod 2 basis is not expanded anteriorly, the propodus is more oval-shaped, and the dactylus is thinner than in males.
Habitat. Coral reefs; 10– 30 m.
Host. Sponges.
Distribution. Atlantic Ocean: Brazil ( Serejo 1998).
