Type locality and specimens. Misaki , Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, 35°09'N 139°38'E. Holotype, male, 9.3 mm; allotype, female, 9.6mm; paratypes, females, 7.4 and 11.0 mm, male, 9.3 mm. GoogleMaps
Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on description by Ishimaru (1985).
Diagnosis. Maxilliped outer plate tuberculate. Gnathopod 1 basis slightly inflated, anterior margin crenulate; dactylus short. Gnathopod 2 basis and carpus distally expanded; propodus palm with four large tubercles. Telson with facial setae.
Female (sexually dimorphic characters). Gnathopod 2 basis anterior margin with 10 setae; carpus shorter.
Habitat. Coral reefs; 2–4 m.
Host. Solitary ascidians Styela plicata and Halocynthia roretzi .
Distribution. Pacific Ocean: Misaki, Kanagawa Prefecture and Oshoro Hokkaido, Japan ( Ishimaru 1985), Tomioka Bay, Japan ( Nagata 1965a).
