General distribution. Europe: Albania, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, FYR Macedonia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Italy (incl. Sardinia and Sicily), Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain (incl. Balearic Is.), Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine. West Asia: Turkey ( Zapparoli 2002; Minelli et al. 2006).
Chorotype. European (EUR).
Records in Peloponnisos ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ). Ahaia: Klitoria, Zarouhla (2). Lakonia: Taigetos, 1650–1700 m (1, 2).
New records from Mt. Parnonas ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ). 1 ex., Arkadia, Meligarias south of Oreini Meligou (loc. 9), 810 m, N37.350434 / E22.671654, 27 Oct. 2014; 1 ex., Arkadia, Parnonas mountain refuge to Agios Vasileios, 5.5 km SW of the refuge (loc. 38), 1460 m, N37.217905 / E22.652083, 1 May 2015.
Ecological notes. 0–1700 m; an euriecious species, recorded from Quercus coccifera and Juniperus sp. open scrubs, in Abies cephalonica and Fagus sylvatica woods, in Abies cephalonica and Pinus nigra woods, and in coastal habitats ( Zapparoli 1994, 1996).
