General distribution. Europe: Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Greece (incl. Crete), Italy (incl. Sardinia and Sicily), Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia. West Asia: Turkey ( Zapparoli 2002; Minelli et al. 2006).

Chorotype. S-European (SEU).

Records in Peloponnisos (2) ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ). Argolida: Tirintha (1, 3, 5). Arkadia: Tripoli (loc. typ. of Lithobius microps biops Verhoeff, 1901 ) (2, 4, 5). Messinia: Kalamata (1, 3, 5).

New records from Mt. Parnonas ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ). 1 ex., Arkadia, Xirokampi 1.2 km north, west of Agios Ioannis (loc. 10), 870 m, N37.349902 / E22.593355, 27 Oct. 2014; 1 ex., Arkadia, Parnonas mountain refuge to Prastos, 8 km SW of the refuge (loc. 39), 1350 m, N37.221529 / E22.665197, 1 May 2015; 1 ex., Arkadia, Xirokampi to Sitaina, 4 km SE of Xirokampi (loc. 46), 1140 m, N37.318658 / E22.612073, 2 May 2015.

Ecological notes. 0–1350 m; a species recorded in Quercus sp. scrubs, in Abies cephalonica and Fagus sylvatica woods, in wetlands, and in cave ( Verhoeff 1943; Zapparoli 1994, 1996).
