≡ Celsia intricata Bentham View in CoL in Candolle (1846: 247).
Type:— Iran. Prov. Isfahan: prope Isfahan, P. M. R. Aucher-Eloy 2463 (lectotype K 000975839!, designated here).
Residual syntype: IRAN. In Persia, P. M. R. Aucher-Eloy 5050 ( K 000975840!, left hand of the sheet).
Note: Two syntypes collections (Aucher-Eloy 2463 and Aucher-Eloy 5050) were cited by Bentham in Candolle (1846) in the protologue of Celsia intricata ( Verbascum intricatum ) and all of them are deposited at K. The specimen “ Aucher-Eloy 2463 ” is here selected as lectotype because it is in better condition than the other specimen and shows all relevant characters.
Distribution:— Endemic to Iran.
